About the Role
Proton.ai is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its growing SaaS team. This remote role offers a chance to work in a fast-moving startup environment where engineers take charge of end-to-end projects and contribute directly to infrastructure scalability and performance. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with developers and infrastructure leaders to design, build, and manage reliable cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Manage and scale containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Create CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments and updates.
- Monitor system performance and implement alerting tools for uptime assurance.
- Administer and optimize databases like Elasticsearch and Redis.
- Automate tasks using Python scripts or similar tools.
- Manage cloud environments on AWS or Google Cloud (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, GKE, etc.).
- Apply security best practices and support compliance standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality application delivery.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
- Strong automation and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and security principles.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 – $90,000 (based on experience).
