Infosys Quality Engineering is looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Mysore. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building and managing next-generation test automation frameworks. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by developing robust automated tests and integrating them seamlessly into our development pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reliable automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Work closely with development and QA teams to plan test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Set up and manage automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Leverage AI/ML-powered tools to enhance testing through self-healing scripts, test optimization, and smarter defect detection.
  • Execute tests in Docker and Kubernetes environments and resolve any related configuration or deployment issues.
  • Take part in code reviews, defect analysis meetings, and help in continuously improving our testing processes.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, execution logs, and dashboards for clear reporting and insights.

Skills and Experience 

  • Strong, hands-on experience in automation using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Practical knowledge of DevOps tools and setting up tests in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for test environment management.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, web technologies, and cross-browser testing.
  • Familiarity with how AI/ML concepts can be applied to software testing.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and debugging abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset and good communication skills.
