Role Overview
The selected engineer will be part of Netflix’s Engineering Support Organization, which focuses on helping developers stay productive through strong platform support, effective tooling, and automation. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving developer issues, maintaining technical infrastructure, and improving tools that engineers rely on daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for internal developer platforms focused on Java and Spring Boot.
- Troubleshoot and automate technical issues using tools like Gradle and gRPC.
- Build and enhance support automation scripts and knowledge base documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve developer experiences.
- Participate in tracking issues, gathering customer feedback, and driving efficiency in platform operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in software or technical support.
- Strong command of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Gradle.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and security mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Good problem-solving and communication abilities, with a customer-first mindset.
- Commitment to writing and maintaining clear technical documentation.
