We are seeking a Data Engineer I who can combine demographic expertise with strong programming skills to develop tools that analyze population trends, social behaviors, and economic patterns.
You will work closely with data scientists, statisticians, and policy analysts to build and maintain data applications, pipelines, and visualizations that support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage data pipelines to process large, complex datasets.
- Develop reports and visualizations to present insights clearly.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with privacy standards.
- Debug and test data processes to maintain performance.
- Research and apply the latest trends in Location Intelligence.
- Optimize applications for scalability and efficiency.
- Document code, workflows, and technical processes.
- Provide technical guidance and training to users.
- Write and review user stories/epics with clear acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in peer code reviews.
- Explore and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
- Adapt to changing requirements with an agile mindset.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Python and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- BE/CS
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for database management.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, or similar libraries).
- Good knowledge of database concepts, query optimization, and handling large datasets.
- Exposure to geospatial data storage and processing preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms
- Strong communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to change.
- Team player with excellent listening, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
